Summary:

The purpose of this position is to serve as the architect, developer, and supporter of YKK AP’s digital connectivity. This position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the seamless flow of data between our core enterprise systems—including ERP, CRM, and IT Service Management (ITSM)—via the company’s integration platform-as-a-service (iPaaS) environment. 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

 

Enterprise Integration & iPaaS Development

  • Define, implement, test, and troubleshoot integrations between disparate systems. Design and build robust RESTful API connectors to allow data flow between enterprise environments (ITSM, ERP, CRM, and Data Warehouse).
  • Develop and maintain automated synchronization workflows that eliminate manual entry and ensure data consistency across the enterprise. Utilize both development languages and low-code/no-code technologies to facilitate connectivity. Continuously enhance the iPaaS ecosystem to support evolving business requirements and high-volume data traffic.
  • Analyze customer or business team requirements, configure middleware based on requirements, and implement functionality to meet business needs.
  • Utilize experience and best practice principles to identify and resolve complex problems, such as different programming languages and database formats, for the systems to be integrated effectively.
  • Gather and analyze data to determine system requirements. Develop and conduct testing plans and procedures based upon system recommendations. Develop estimates and work plans as they relate to systems integration work tasks and team members. Draft technical instructions, engineering plans, technical designs, and other system integration related documents.

 

Middleware Management

  • Be the primary administrator for YKK AP’s iPaaS environment, ensuring high availability, performance monitoring, and adherence to industry security standards. Install, test, debug, and provide general support for the operation of middleware technologies. Establish and enforce best practices for integration patterns, documentation, and error-handling protocols. Configure and implement new or expanded functionality within the iPaaS environment as needed for future requirements.  Evaluate system architecture and upgrade components to improve performance and functionality.
  • Coordinate and schedule iPaaS upgrade outages with the business.  Validate vendor’s software updates to the iPaaS platform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise between the connected systems.

 

Business Process Automation

  • Identify redundant data entry opportunities and re-architect workflows into modern, scalable digital solutions. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to evaluate the feasibility of automation and improvement recommendations.
  • Stay current on AI trends, tools and advancements.  Recommend and utilize AI solutions where appropriate to solve business problems and augment integration solutions.
  • Define and document workflow architecture to ensure alignment with business and functional requirements. Engineer automated, end-to-end solutions that eliminate friction and increase operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain adherence to company policies and compliance standards across all developments. Escalate and manage complex technical issues to ensure timely resolution.

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems integration and automation; a relevant combination of education and equivalent professional experience will also be considered
  • Deep understanding of RESTful API design, integration patterns, and hands-on experience with platforms like Postman
  • Proficiency in JSON and XML, with a proven ability to handle complex data transformation and mapping
  • Hands-on development skills in C#, Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell for custom automation and middleware logic
  • Expert in identifying automation opportunities through process mining and data analysis, with hands-on experience translating business logic into scalable, automated workstreams
  • Strong understanding of secure integration practices, including OAuth, SAML, and API key management
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and the ability to write complex SQL queries
  • Proficiency in version control systems such as Azure DevOps or Git
  • Experience with Informatica Cloud (iPaaS) and Freshservice (ITSM) is a significant advantage preferred
  • Experience with Master Data Management initiatives and concepts preferred
  • Experience in a multi-location manufacturing enterprise environment is highly desirable

Travel Requirements:

The travel required for this position is less than 25%.

 

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position. Individuals are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at designated times and in specified environments in accordance with established safety program requirements. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. While performing job duties, individuals may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
