Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to create a building material requirement list for projects and correspond with customer service reps with any issues with the processing of the projects by performing the following duties. This position also includes functions to create and modify hardware application drawings to fabricate and install hardware; determines feasibility of specified hardware applications to product lines and communicates any issues with hardware manufacturers and customer service reps.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

• Details order packets by printing/pulling existing drawings.
• Generates order packet information for production.
• Provides shop floor support for fabrication or application issues.
• Corresponds with customer service reps with project issues and provides technical support.

Other Duties:

• Creates bill of material (BOM) requirements for material and hardware for projects
• Processes change orders on projects for BOM changes

Education/Experience:

Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in manufacturing, industrial engineering, 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment using Blueprints to determine mathematical calculations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Prefer bachelor's degree.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Should be able to operate a computer system
• Should be able to read drawings, micrometers, and calipers
• Should have math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Be vigilant about safety
• Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence

Preferred Skills:

• Experience using AutoCAD software or equivalent software applications

 Travel required for this position is less than 5%.
