Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to coordinate and plan production based on labor capacity availability; developing production schedules and labor requirements while working closely with the Window Process Manager and Production Supervisor in order to produce goods in a timely manner by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

• Draws up Master Schedule to establish product sequence and lead time for each operation.
• Analyzes production capacity in order to determine manpower requirements.
• Plans production schedules around critical work centers in order to meet lead times based on order sequences.
• Confers with department supervisor to determine the status of scheduled projects.
• Coordinates and places material and hardware orders based on job requirements.
• Prepares production and labor reports for analysis.
• Expedites operations that have encountered delays to ensure orders ship on time.
• Prepare and present scheduling data in a management production meeting once a week
• Monitor and report out on production issues on a monthly basis

Education/Experience

Associates degree from Two-year college or university in manufacturing, industrial engineering or business management plus 1 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Certificates and Licenses

APICS Certification Preferred.
