Position Summary
The Control Room Operator Position is responsible for the flow and quality of the materials processed in the Anodizing Department.

 

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

  •  Performs daily equipment inspections, calibrations and verifies the temperature of treatment tanks to insure proper operation before production begins. 
  •  Uses a Konica Minolta Color Meter to verify the quality and consistency of the coloring operation and adjusts the voltage and time as needed.  
  •  Record voltages, current, time, and temperature of the process tanks to insure consistency and quality.
  •  Visually inspects all process tanks every hour to insure trouble-free operations.
  •  Manual operation of all the cranes to limit downtime and insure defect free material in case of a crane malfunction or any line trouble.  
  •  Performs weekly cleaning of Anodizing, Coloring, Electro-Deposition terminal stands.
  •  Keep assigned work area clean at all times. (5S)
  •  Assist in all scheduled maintenance activities for the department, including yearly shutdowns
  • Performs other duties as required by supervisor.  

 

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

  • Be vigilant about safety
  • Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence
  • High School diploma/GED (minimum)
  • Basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Fabrication experience (preferred)
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Fork truck experience (preferred)
  • Have a good understanding of BPCS & ADC systems
