Essential Job Duties:
- Check orders and procedures for production.
- Inspect jigs and status of pallets before operation of equipment.
- Must be able to operate the following equipment and adjust as necessary:
- Head/tail stretcher.
- Cooling table
- Saw table.
- Chip collector.
- Loading machine.
- Pallet conveyor.
- Aging oven.
- Examine products for quality and defects using visual observations as well as calipers, micrometers, and a Webster Hardness Tester. Notify management of quality issues and possible causes and corrections.
- Dscard defective/imperfect product.
- Remove and weigh material scrap bin. Maintain supply of pallets and transfers full pallets by forklift.
- Review equipment at start of every shift and assist with repair.
- Complete and maintain reports of equipment utilization/repair.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
Education/Experience:
- Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have the ability to read, write and count.
- Must be able to read scale calipers and micrometers and understand the metric system.
- Must have demonstrated effective communications skills and the ability to be a team player
- Must have the ability to learn the job duties within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the supervisor.
- Must be able to lift approximately 40-50 lbs.
Pay:
$19 - $23 (based on relevant experience)
Work Schedule:
Training for two months on First Shift 7:00am - 3:30pm
Position will be based on 3rd shift 11:00pm - 7:30am
