Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Records data for all test performed and distributes.
- Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Follows basic quality techniques, possibly including calibration or verification, to track, analyze, and report on materials, processes, and products to ensure they meet YKK’s quality standards.
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, or formulas and confers with leadership or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Selects materials, parts, or products for testing at specified stages in production process, and tests attributes such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical/electrical/chemical characteristics. Tests may be destructive or non-destructive.
- Records and Evaluates test results, applies statistical methods, or enters data into computer for analysis, prepares graphs, and writes reports.
- Validates results or indicates deviations from existing standards.
- Recommends modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
- Performs internal audits as assigned to verify compliance to existing requirements and indicate potential risks or opportunities for improvement in relation to YKK, Industry, or ISO 9001 standards.
- After training on 1st shift, this role will support 2nd or 3rd shifts.

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred background in Quality testing, inspection, or auditing within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem solving and analytic skills (e.g., can conduct root cause analysis, make recommendations, and track results).
- Strong written, oral, communication and presentation skills required (including comfort with Excel and PowerPoint) across many levels within the organization.
- A sense of urgency to act and area ownership is required.
