SENIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to interact with internal and external customers to provide information in response to inquiries about accounts, orders, products, and services. 

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as liaison between customers, sales group, and manufacturing facility.
  • Plans and coordinates material take-offs, order entry, custom die requests, drawings, engineering, and Schedule of Values.
  • Reviews project proposals or plan to determine time frame and procedures for completing the project while coordinating with the customer on releases of each phase.
  • Creates and maintains files on each project to include order acknowledgments, credit requests, scheduling information, job set-up information, technical requests, and all other pertinent communication.
  • Performs order entry for non-configured items and configured items by keying purchase information into the computer program.
  • Handles and resolves customer complaints and billing issues.
  • Reviews architectural plans and other data to determine material and labor requirements to produce itemized lists.
  • Prepares documents including material take-offs, estimates, quotes, quote logs, and the Scope of Work; reviews these documents with the Supervisor(s) when needed.
  • Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Knowledge of Aluminum entrance systems and hardware preferred.
  • Other duties may be assigned.  

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus 2 years as a Customer Service Representative with YKK AP or 2 years of customer service experience in the glazing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Be vigilant about safety.
