Fabrication Technician I

Hung Line III – 1st Shift

6:00am-2:30pm M-F

 

Position Summary

 

The purpose of this position is to be able to perform the job duties listed below.TRAINING FOR THIS SHIFT MAY BE ON A DIFFERENT SHIFT FOR UP TO ONE MONTH.

 

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

 

  • Fabricates doors and frames for vinyl extrusions using hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, saws, vertical welders, corner cleaners, double miter saws, etc., as well as milling machines.
  • Identifies and tags material with a written symbol for assembly and inspection.
  • Comprehends and completes fabrication on a sequence of operations.
  • Fit and assemble components.
  • Performs all general production work as required.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.

 

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

 

  • High School diploma/GED (minimum)
  • Must have at least two years of manufacturing experience preferably in a fabrication or production environment
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Good math skills
  • Be vigilant about safety
  • Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence

 

Physical Requirements

 

  • Job requires constant lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum eight (8) hour period of time.
  • Job requires stooping, bending and kneeling.
